Celestial Winter Sparkle at Orleans House

Real Wedding: Hattie & Jadd

Oh Hattie & Jadd! Your winter wedding at Orleans House Gallery was such a treat. I love it when my couples decide to do things their way, and H&J did just that. They chose to get ready together at their gorgeous cottage, surrounded by their wedding party, and then came down the candlelit aisle together. Be still my beating heart!

There is such romance in a winter wedding. The shorter days mean daylight hours are limited and there is a sparkle in the air as the lights shimmer and dance in the early evening. The colour palette designed by event stylists, Studio Between was kept chic and minimal, deep blues, burgundy, terracotta and gold and silver tones to reflect a winter wedding and add a touch of cosiness to the events. The flowers by London-based florists, Lily & Liz were chic and sophisticated, combining ferns, roses, eryngiums, lisianthus, eucalyptus and hops - a nod to their shared love of craft ales.

After the ceremony they had a drinks reception in the gorgeous Octagon Room at Orleans house, with musicians, canapes and speeches, before the wedding party made their way to Richmond Vault for dinner and dancing. Richmond Vault is a hidden treasure, set in the caverns on Richmond Hill, it serves stunning Lebanese food - a nod to Jadd’s Lebanese heritage. H&J had hired the entire venue, and it was styled with tall taper candles, individual menus secured in hot foil wallets, tasseled place cards and shimmering translucent acrylic table names.

Rather than have a top table. Hattie & Jadd opted for a sweetheart table so they could sit together, surrounded by their nearest & dearest. As the night wore on, guests came and joined them on their table as they took turns to work their way around the room. Each table was named after a card game, with packs of cards on the table and game instructions discretely tucked inside the menu wallet - the evening entertainment, sorted!

Grania went absolutely above and beyond for our wedding stationery and signage! She was so attentive and in tune with us from the very beginning and delivered the most stunning, unique designs that truly were the highlight of our table settings. Grania is such a pleasure and joy to work with; she has such a brilliant eye for design and a natural style about her that we knew we were in safe hands from the beginning. I couldn't recommend Ink & Paper London enough - Hattie, Bride

Thank you so much Hattie & Jadd, I adored working with you and bringing your on the day stationery to life!
