PRINT PROCESSES

  • Wedding invitation card with white roses and green leaves, featuring the names Anouck and Matias, wedding details at The Berkeley, London on June 18, 2022, with a textured white background and decorative seals.

    Letterpress

Ink & Paper’s signature print method where ink is pressed into paper using an age-old method and antique machinery. Each piece uniquely pressed by hand!

Your entire suite can be done in letterpress, or we can combine hot foil & embossed elements with letterpress.

  • Wedding invitation card in black with gold text, featuring an illustration of two tiki huts. It invites Anna Frances to marry Benjamin William Belsey on July 14, 2020, at Santa Maria Church in Rome, Italy. Additional details include the reception and dance information.

    Hot Foil

A luxurious print method where foil sheets are pressed into the paper, providing a gorgeous metallic sheen to your suite.

Available in a range of colours (gold, silver, rose gold, even holographic!) your entire suite can be foil stamped or we can combine letterpress with foil type and details.

  • Wedding invitation card with embossed script and gold lettering, listing the names Camille Rose and Peter James Roth.

    Blind Embossing

The reverse of the letterpres process where the detail is raised (emboss) rather than sunk (deboss), embossing does not use ink.

This printing technique is most frequently used for monograms, family coast of arms, and other small details in combination with hot foil or letterpress type, but also makes an amazing statement on it's own without colour anywhere in your design!

  • White Ink

A specialist digital print technique using white ink toner, it is a sophisticated and elegant way to enhance your invitation suite.

Ink & Paper also offer white ink printing - perfect for printing on dark or black cardstocks and adding a touch of drama to your invitations!
