HOW WE WORK
ABOUT OUR WEDDING DESIGN SERVICE
We know how important your special day is and that you have probably been pinning and saving inspiration and themes for some time.
Our aim is to work with you to bring your ideas to life and make these an integral part of your wedding.
THE DESIGN PROCESS
STEP 1: Consultation
First, the formal bit: Ink & Paper will send you an order form (by email) which needs to be filled in with all the requested details about your wedding day and the style of invitations you are looking for. This will help us to understand the scope of your brief and get us starting to think about ideas.
We will then follow up with you on receipt of your completed form either by a meeting (In London), phone call or Skype where we can discuss your ideas in more detail.
STEP 2: Estimate
Once we have collated all your ideas and the information to help us understand your design, choice of letterpress style or calligraphy script, paper and ink colour, we will put together an estimated time line which takes into account design and production. We will also put together an estimated cost for your project.
For fully bespoke projects there will be a fee for the design service which starts at £45. Calligraphy script, envelope printing and upgraded cardstock will be charged on top of this fee.
Following this you will be asked for a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure studio time and your order. We will also need all the wording for your order including addresses and titles (in Excel file by email).
STEP 3: Design
Within 5 working days of placing your order and receipt of your deposit, Ink & Paper will send you a PDF digital proof of your project for you to review and check and to let us know if you are happy with it. Any changes or amendments communicated will be actioned for your approval.
Clients can receive up to two proofs of their order which is included in the total cost of your project.
If you are happy with your digital proof of your order and confirm there are no further changes or errors, the outstanding 50% of the total project will be due for payment. Please note that due to the time-consuming nature of letterpress design, we cannot create physical proofs for your project, however during the consultation we are happy to share with you previous commissions so that you can view the quality of finish you can expect to receive.
STEP 4: Production
Once you have given your approval, Ink & Paper will start your project and on any additional embellishments. Clients should note that no further changes or amendments can be made once final payment is received.
Step 5: Delivery
Once your project has been completed, Ink & Paper will check every part of your order and ensure they all pass our very high standards. Your order will be carefully packaged and sent by post (Royal Mail Recorded Delivery or DPD).
